Haze Series - 2021

Artist’s Statement -

The “Haze” series conjures a sense of calm uncertainty. Through this series, I explored techniques to evoke weathered materials, imperfect finishes and patinas. This series opened the door to painting again for me, after an eight year painting hiatus. This series felt necessary for me to create in order to find a sense of calm during a difficult and anxious time. I wanted to explore textures and shapes that felt imperfect and unfinished and unclear; an exercise in letting go and letting things be.
